Monk is a west coast Canadian artist with her primary studio on spectacular Rathtrevor Beach at Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Her subject matter comes primarily from the endless ocean views, idyllic beach scenes, beautiful Gulf Island coastlines, spectacular old growth forests, serene gardens and ancient totem poles.

Monk's energy, creativity, joy and reverence for all of creation shine through her exquisite use of colour, detail and depth. The three-dimensional sculptural quality of her works adds drama and a sense that you could step right into her painting, walk through the old growth forest, explore the garden paths, feel the texture of the old totems or get wet in the water!
